Although people think Obama has polarized the parties, he seems to have united us just the same.

Michael Steele Last Picked on Playground

This morning on Morning Joe, my favorite am talk show since I enjoy disagreeing with  Scarborough’s rants, there was expressed a sentiment of disbelief at the recent interview of Michael Steele.
Among the questions asked was one in particular that, I gather from their reactions, they felt to be biased, and inappropriate if not entirely racist.  The question was are you jealous of Barack Obama? or something along those lines.  Mr. Steele’s response was to feign disbelief as though the question was ridiculous, after all, what would he possibly be jealous of?

Dirty Immigrants, Evil Usurpers, and Real Americans

What makes immigrants so dangerous? I mean, of course they are dangerous, but what makes them that way? As more and more jobs move to the countries from which they come, are we afraid that they will take over the few that remain here? Hmm…
Many immigrants, both legal and illegal, work for minimum wage and indeed, probably for less in many cases. That is almost certainly more than they would make in their previous place of residence, but then again, the cost of living here is …

AIG is an immoral entity.  I doubt many would disagree.  Not only have they failed us with their business sense, but they’ve failed in Ethics 101.  Does that mean we should ditch the class ourselves?
Obama’s infant administration has faced criticism regarding many of its proposed legislation and policies.  It has been called socialist and communist.  Obama has been accused of having presidential ADD.  But his actions and his words have, until now, expressed a desire to do the right thing even if it meant being labeled in rather derogatory and condemning …

As people become more and more incensed over the bonuses being paid to AIG employees, I have to wonder if perhaps they are also becoming more and more barbaric.  -Note, barbaric here is meant as an irrational tendency towards violence and the ability to override any ethical and/or moral considerations in the name of vengeance. -
As I watched Edward Liddy field questions today, I felt an overwhelming sense of remorse; for although many of the politicians present expressed regret over the difficulties he himself was facing, few seemed to care that many of …

There is a continuing epidemic in Africa that threatens the country as a whole: Lesbianism.  Or so some people believe.

In a country that has faced oppression on such grand levels and has fought that oppression with ferocity, perservernce, and great courage, lesbians are being raped to cure them of their illness, that is, their sexual orientation.
In June of 2007 Simangele Nhlapho , an activist and member of a support group meant for women with HIVwas raped and murdered, as was her 2-year old daughter whose legs had also been broken.
In April …

Religious Leaders Stand by their Men while Democrats Misplace their Brains

While religious leaders need some new justifications (or to shut up about some ridiculous ones) Democrats need to take their heads out of their behinds and do the right thing.

Joe Scarborough, Jack Welch,  Warren Buffet: they claim Obama’s message is muddled and that as a result, we as a country are scared and confused.  He has to focus, they say.  He has to concentrate on the economy, not the environment, not on smart grids, not on healthcare; fix the economy first they say.
Do we as a people recall the fervor with which I am sure nearly all of us have screamed at the television, tossed our daily paper aside, or stormed away from our computer screens because something we …
